Javina’s Story

Kirsten Warrender

Every day, the Inspiring Leadership Foundation is empowering people around the world. Javina is one of the women we have impacted in the last year – we got the chance to hear her tell her story, in her own words.

Javina is a survivor of domestic abuse and addiction. She was referred to us by the Home Office who believed she would benefit from our services.

Javina has since been paired with a mentor, singer-songwriter, Twinnie. By drawing on her own experience, Twinnie is supporting Javina in achieving her personal ambition to succeed in the music industry. Javina joined the charity in 2022 and has already completed the Level 1 programme of our Inspiring Futures Academy, benefitting from mentoring, workshops and virtual learning.

Javina is now working hard to fundraise for her own “No Silence Project” – a music video which will help to raise awareness of the issues she has faced, and where others can go for help. If you would like to learn more or donate to this cause, please visit the Go Fund Me page.
