Inspiring Leadership Foundation Hosted Unforgettable Annual Gala Celebrating Women’s Empowerment


London, UK – April 23, 2024 – The Inspiring Leadership Foundation is proud to announce the success of its highly anticipated Inspiring Leadership Awards and Charity Gala 2024, which took place on Tuesday, April 23rd, at the prestigious InterContinental London Park Lane. This black-tie event brought together esteemed guests and supporters for an evening dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the charity’s women’s empowerment initiatives both in the UK and internationally.

The evening commenced with Mims Davies and Jo Churchill, Members of Parliament. Their inspiring remarks set the tone for a special evening.

Ocado Logistics, the primary sponsor of the event, stated:

The gala centred around a tribute to inspiring public figures and leaders who had demonstrated outstanding commitment to creating positive change in their communities and organisations. Notable attendees included Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes DBE OLY, who was honoured with the Inspiring Leadership International Public Figure Award, and renowned singer-songwriter Beverley Knight, recipient of the Inspiring Influencer Award.

Hosted by a line-up of extraordinary individuals, including Lurata Lyon, a survivor of civil war turned motivational speaker and author, and Zack George, UK’s Fittest Man 2020, and BBC Gladiator ‘Steel’, the evening was filled with inspirational speeches, live entertainment, and an awards ceremony recognising exemplary leadership across various sectors.

Among the distinguished award recipients were Sophie Chivers, Head of Organisational Development at Bellrock Group, who received the Inspiring Future Leader Award, and Craig Hatch, CEO of TetraTech, honoured with the Inspiring CEO Award. Remitly was recognised with the Inspiring International Brand Award, while Ride for Unity received the Inspiring Leadership Legacies Award. Emma Kane, a prominent figure in public relations and communications, received a Lifetime Achievement Award. Charity beneficiary turned charity ambassador and music artist Javina Greene accepted the Inspiring Hero award.

The gala also acknowledged the Inspiring Leadership Foundation’s strategic partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), pioneering the Covenant for Empowering Women and Girls. This groundbreaking initiative aimed to drive nationwide change by empowering women and girls through mentorship, work opportunities, digital inclusion, and sponsorship of events promoting gender equality.
