“We are so proud to reflect on our remarkable event collaboration between Adobe and Women in Tech forum last week. Our charity could not deliver such profound and life-changing results if was not for the volunteering efforts of inspiring leaders, passionate about changing the landscape for women and girls to thrive.

I would like to thank Scarlet Barber, of Adobe who started to volunteer as a mentor. Our beneficiaries aspiration of starting a business and the barriers to entry this entailed ignited Scarlet’s ambition to do more.  Scarlet set about mobilising a influential group of like-minded leaders from across Adobe, as well as collaborating with Women in Tech team, with Angie Vaux and Lily Ledwith Cavanna.

Together, they launched an event to raise awareness and funds for the Inspiring Leadership Foundation and to promote business entrepreneurship.

The goal of the event was to harness the power and influence of talented business leaders to engage with the charity for long-term change in the UK and internationally. The event took place on the 6th of July 2023 at the stunning Adobe offices in Old Street Yard, London.

The evening began with Welcome Drinks, canapés and music. It was the perfect opportunity for attendees to connect and mingle, setting the tone for a night of empowerment and networking.

We dove deep into the heart of our Inspiring Leadership Foundation charity, sharing the “Why” behind our mission and the incredible impact they create. We were inspired and moved by one beneficiary’s story of hope, tenacity and courage to not be defined by their past but use it to shape and realise their dreams in the music industry. This and so many other stories are powerful daily reminders of the importance of tackling escalating issues such as organised crime, poverty, unemployment and disadvantage that adversely affect women and girls in the UK and internationally.

We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to Scarlet and the Adobe team, Angie and the Women in Tech team and to everyone who attended and contributed to the event. Your presence and generosity have played a significant role in creating opportunities for disadvantaged women and girls. Thanks to fun and fundraising games, including an auction experience, we have taken a step forward in creating a more equitable and empowering future and raised an amazing £6140!

“We’re honoured to be part of such an inspiring event, thank you for spearheading such a worthwhile cause Scarlet. Empowering women and girls to optimise their potential is at the heart of our values and we are proud to be supporting this charity.”, Angie Vaux – Founder of Women in Tech

“I’m still on cloud nine after hosting an emotional; yet empowering charity fundraiser on Thursday, in collaboration with Women in Tech forum.”, Scarlet Barber – Head of Document Sales at Adobe

“It was genuinely the best event I participated to this year, with powerful and inspiring stories from all the speakers.”,  Leonie Lacaille – Account Executive at Adobe
